This poor Dane spent his life living on a chain. The other Dane he lived with died on another chain :( Basically, he has been neglected for a very long time. Animal Control would not seize him, but fortunately for him his owner surrendered him.
Rudy has been adopted by a family in Asheville, NC. He also has a new name - MAJOR! His new family runs NCARES (North Carolina Animal Rescue and Education Services). He always has plenty of other dogs and animals to play with. Unfortunately, when he went in for his neuter it was discovered that he has Dilated Cardiomyopathy. We know he is in very good hands and his family will do everything necessary to keep him healthy and happy.
