Like Cinder, Ella was bought to be a breeder. We're so glad that she will not be used for that purpose. When Ella arrived here she was VERY skittish in addition to being unruly. She would not come when called, did not want to be touched or petted and shied or ran away if approached. Her only solace was Cinder. Like Cinder, she was out of control, an undersocialized, untrained puppy who had been allowed to do as she chose her whole life. But Ella was also more fearful and unsure of herself. Ella's reaction to her spay set her back in the trust department, but she has now learned to trust me and is beginning to trust my daughter. She will come for pets and rubs, but is still hesitant to come when called unless either Cinder is coming, or there is food involved. Ella is basically a sweet dog, but she is learning both people and dog "language". She relies on her sister to "interpret" for her. She is making huge strides and I'm sure she will "get it" and be a wonderful housepet! Ella is housetrained, and is a very stunning Dane. Both girls will be large for females. Ella's adopter will be required to take her to obedience class. Preference will be given to adopters willing to adopt both girls together.
Ella lives in Rockford, Illinois with her new family (including 2 Chihuahua's!).
