Amelia was turned over to CSCAGDR by a shelter who found her running as a stray on the street. She came into rescue unhousetrained and not knowing any commands at all. She was frightened and drooled excessively for the first two weeks due to being so stressed. Amelia stayed in rescue for over a year until she developed the skills to be adopted. She was adopted by a loving family in Georgia who think she is the best dog ever. Their little girl loves to dress her up!
UPDATE: Sept. 7, 2003: Amelia passed away today. The necropsy results showed cancerous tumors in her spleen and lungs. Amelia is greatly missed by her adoptive family and all of us at CSCAGDR.
