Zee is a very sweet girl who has come far in her first year. She and her littermates were rescued from a shed where they and their mama were being held with some food thrown in for mama every once in a while. They came into rescue at 3 weeks of age. As a small puppy, she got through kennel cough and was doing well, when she developed hemolytic anemia from having been bitten by a tick when she was a newborn. She almost died and was touch-and-go for quite some time. Her platelet counts were exceedingly low, she was hemorrhaging and very ill. She underwent prednisone treatment, but pulled through her ordeal and is now a happy, healthy puppy. She is a lover, loves to cuddle, and give kisses. She does still get a little upset when she goes to the vet's office, but is getting over that since everyone there gives her treats now when she comes! :) She has lost almost all of her prednisone fat and loves to run and play outside now. She would make a wonderful addition to any home!
