Cinder and Ella were purchased with plans for them to be breeders. Fortunately, those plans were diverted by a divorce and the girls came into rescue. These girls had not been socialized or trained. They lived in the backyard and came straight into crates in the house at night to sleep. When Cinder came into rescue she was completely out of control; leaping and running, not coming when called, did not respond to the name she had then. (Well, we THINK it was her name.. her prior owner did not know which one of the girls was "Spice" and which was "Precious". Neither girl responded to either name.) Both girls were in good body shape, but had been spayed right before coming here, and had horrible reactions to the spays. It took them over three weeks to be able to have their sutures removed. Cinder was hesitant with people at first, but she was more outgoing than Ella. Now, she is an attention hog, a bed hog, and will pester you for pets and hugs. She gives GREAT kisses, and lots of them!! Cinder has calmed down considerably, will sit for a treat and is working on her other skills. She is now very social when guests come to call. Cinder has a great sense of humor and her antics keep us laughing! She is absolutely gorgeous! Her adopter will be required to take her to obedience class. We believe these girls should stay together, as they are very bonded after only having each other for their first 9 months, and will give preference to applications to adopt both girls together.
